Appointments advice

Ask My GP – Digital Appointment Request System

Our ‘Ask My GP’ digital appointment request system is available Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays, to help you request an appointment to speak with a clinician about a new or existing health issue.

You can specify a preferred clinician, especially if you have an ongoing problem, to help maintain continuity of care. Please note that while we try to accommodate your preference, urgent case may need to be seen by the next available clinician.

To help us prioritise and allocate appointments effectively, please provide as much detail as possible when submitting your request.

The system is open for requests Monday – Friday 8am – 6.30pm apart from bank holidays.

Response Times:

We aim to respond to all requests within 1 working day.

Urgent requests will be responded to within 1 working day.

After triage, you may be offered a face-to-face or telephone appointment based on what is most appropriate for your situation.

Important Information:

Home visit requests should not be made through ‘Ask My GP’; please call reception directly, ideally before 11am.

Emergency same-day appointments are not available via ‘Ask My GP’. Please call the surgery at 8am for emergency slots, which are subject to availability.

If your symptoms worsen while waiting for a call back, please contact reception immediately so our care navigators can alert the triage team.

If you are working, you may provide a preferred window for a callback; we will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee this.

Our clinical team includes GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Physician Associates, GP Trainees, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Community Link Workers, Mental Health Workers, Care Coordinators, and First Contact Practitioners who collaborate regularly to provide comprehensive care.

For urgent care outside of normal hours, you can contact the GP Alliance Hub on 01942 482848 or call NHS 111 for advice.

If you believe you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 999 immediately.
