Unfortunately, there is now no Weight Management Service available to GP surgeries, this was recently stopped.
Funding for the existing SWMS contract, hosted by Wigan Council will end on 31st December 2024.
The service will therefore formally close to all new referrals with immediate effect and will no longer accept any new patients onto its waiting list and will close from 1st January 2025.
No further/ alternative Service has been commissioned at this time.
